New rooftop units at Tonganoxie Middle School will come with a 10-year warranty for more than $73,800. The Tonganoxie school board approved the measure, 6-0, at its regular meeting Monday. Board Member Chris Gratton was absent. In total, the extended warranty covers parts, labor and refrigerant for the first five years for the 14 new rooftop units. For years 6-10, the warranty will cover major parts of compressors and heat exchangers.
